We hope you’ve been doing well over the last few months, and are keeping nice and warm in the wintery season (or keeping cool and hydrated, if you’re from the Southern hemisphere). A lot has been going on in the virtual office of Tea For Three Studios, but instead of inundating you with copious emails about all the tiny steps of progress, we thought we’d save the chunky stuff for you. And so, without further ado, I’d like to announce that, on this special occasion of Jane Austen’s 238th birthday, Regency Love is finally available on the app store! After this, the game will be available for US$4.99/AUD$5.49/GBP£2.99/EUR€4.49. (And I’m sorry if I’ve missed your currency!) Of course, as this is our first major project, with a gestation period of over 2.5 years, we will happily admit that we are both super excited and terribly anxious. As much as we’ve had an absolute blast making this game, we’ve also had to hold back on many aspects: there are at least six more full characters and plots we’ve wanted to explore, but haven’t had the resources to do so. A lot is dependent upon the response to this first release, which is why it would mean an enormous deal to us if you could offer your support, whether it be purchasing the app, gifting it to friends, or simply spreading the word. At the end of the day, we just want to create something that gives you, the player, the means to tell your own Regency story—the birth of the reader, indeed! And, as there is nothing quite like this kind of immersive, interactive, multimedia novel, we would like to show the world that it is possible, that we can all tell and read stories in this engaging way.
